Coventry Skydome to host Great Britain v Poland Ice Hockey international

Great Britain and Poland’s international men’s hockey teams are set to go head-to- head at Coventry’s Skydome this April ahead of their respective World Championship tournaments.

Last season’s clash was played in front of a large crowd and continued the tradition of thrilling matches between the two hockey nations. The teams will be playing on Sunday 10 April at 5.15pm.

Poland came close to promotion to the World Championship elite level last season, while GB won silver and just missed out on promotion to Division 1A with a heartbreaking final-day defeat by Lithuania in Netherlands.

Andrew Dixon, Coventry’s City of Culture bid adviser, said:

This is yet another example of what the city has to offer. World class sport is now a permanent fixture in Coventry and it is another great way of bringing people into the city. We hope the event is a great success.

Tickets have been held at last season’s prices and once again there will be a special discounted early-bird window.
